The house is located in the hearth of Crecchio, an old medieval town in the Province of Chieti, Abruzzo Region. The town dates from the beginning of 1200 and has an historic castle with a roman tower. The castle has served as the royal accommodation of last Italian King Vittorio Emanuele III and his son Umberto I together with their family and entire crew. Now the castle is the host of a byzantine museum known all around the region and outside. Crecchio is a small town made by restructured and well maintained houses and preserves the spirit and atmosphere of centuries ago. It is a quiet town hosting two major festivals during July (Bizantine celebration) and Santa Elisabetta at the end of August (patronal celebration). The town is surrounded by two green valleys, plenty of vineyards and olive groves, wineries with production of olive oils and fine wines.
